Getting started is easy! Download the app from the iOS App Store, create your account, and set up your profile. Then invite your partner by sharing your unique invite link. Once they join, you'll be connected and can start creating shared tasks together.
The app will guide you through a quick tutorial showing you how to create tasks, assign points, and set up your first rewards.
After creating your account, go to your Profile tab and tap "Invite Partner." You can share your unique invite link via text, email, or any messaging app. When your partner taps the link and creates their account, you'll automatically be connected!
You'll both receive a notification once the connection is complete, and you can start collaborating immediately.
Absolutely! GoodBooks Life is designed to work seamlessly across time zones. You can see what your partner is working on in real-time, leave notes on tasks, and celebrate completed tasks together no matter where you are.
Many long-distance couples use GoodBooks Life to stay connected and maintain shared goals even when apart.
Tap the "+" button on the Tasks tab to create a new task. You can:
Once created, the task will appear in your shared task list. Your partner will get a notification and can see it in their app immediately.
When you create a task, you assign it a point value based on its difficulty or importance. When someone completes the task, they earn those points.
You can track individual points (yours vs. your partner's) or combine them as a team total. Points can be redeemed for rewards you set together, like choosing the next movie, picking dinner, or planning a date night.
Rewards are fun incentives you create together! Go to the Rewards tab and tap "Add Reward." Give it a name (like "Choose the Movie," "Breakfast in Bed," or "Weekend Adventure") and set a point cost.
Once someone has enough points, they can redeem the reward. You'll both get a notification, and the redeemed reward appears in your history.
Yes! Tap on any task to view its details. From there, you can add notes, attach context, or leave comments. This is great for clarifying what needs to be done or sharing updates as you work on the task.
Your partner will see any notes you add and can reply with their own comments.
